Tegu Lizard Management Manual

The Red Tegu Lizard (Tupinambis rufescens) is native to the Chaco dry forest of southern Bolivia.

Much prized by local inhabitants for its hide, which fetches a good price in cities, it has become the object of one of many management projects initiated in the area. Through a management plan regulating hunting of the lizards, both local hunters and conservationists want to make sure lizard populations are kept healthy.

I created the cartoons on this page to include in the management plan.
